In my most recent role as partner/Chief Investment Officer/Chief Financial Officer for Third IV Properties, LLC, I was responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of a commercial real estate company (focused on multi-family residential real estate, specifically manufactured housing communities) including investor relations/capital raising, managing lender relationships such as obtaining and negotiating new loans and ongoing compliance requirements, underwriting of new acquisitions, and all finance and accounting related functions (everything from day-to-day bookkeeping functions to annual tax filings).

In my prior career, I was a research analyst and assistant portfolio manager for an institutional money manager, with a focus on finding and investing in long-term, tax-advantaged investments for our clients. I was responsible for finding and analyzing hundreds of various investment opportunities, primarily commercial real estate loans, negotiating with investment banks and trading desks, and managing our investment portfolio throughout various market cycles.

Further, I have passively invested in other real estate asset classes (such as self-storage, RV parks, multifamily apartments, commercial solar, etc.) as well as pre-revenue to growth stage companies, including a MedTech startup, an early stage pharmaceutical company, a fast growing QSR, and others. These investments are across the capital stack including traditional debt, convertible notes, preferred equity, warrants, and common stock. These investments have allowed to me to expand upon my professional investment experience by researching and investing personal capital into a variety of alternative investments.

When I am not working with investors or advising business clients, I enjoy spending time with my family, living out my Catholic faith, and watching Kansas City sports.
